THIAGARAJ LEADS HIGHLANDERS ON FIRST DAY OF GOLFWEEK CHALLENGE

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – After day one of the 2016 Golfweek Program Challenge, Radford stands in 16^th place at the par 71, 6,042-yard Caledonia Golf Club. Khushboo Thiagaraj paced the Highlanders Sunday afternoon with an eight-over par 79, standing in a tie for 45^th place.

The Highlanders, who are just seven strokes away from 15^th place, finished their first 18 holes with a score of 328. Boston College leads the tournament with a one-day total of 283, the only team under par at one-under.

Following Thiagaraj, Meagan Board stands in a tie for 52^nd with a nine-over 80. Board and Thiagaraj paced the Highlanders with nine pars.

Oliva Jay and Board finished with two birdies each as Radford combined for seven as a team.

The Highlanders return to action on Monday at 9 a.m., pairing up with Stetson and Valparaiso.
