RADFORD CONCLUDES ELON INVITE WITH DOUBLES WINS



HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Radford concluded the final day of the Elon Invitational with several strong peformances and results.
  • Drousile Dzeubou and Natalie Sayer fell in the Maroon Doubles championship flight to the Liberty doubles team of Aleksandra Panchenko/ Rebekah Anderson by a score of 8-5.
  • Meili Martin and Camilla Littlewood finished fourth in the Powell Doubles flight, falling 8-4 to Emory's Melissa Goodman/Elaine Vernoff.
  • Karlie Pope and Claire Nguyen took home the fifth place flight in the Phoenix Doubles flight, besting Remi Andre and Marisa Anthony, 8-1.
  • Lilly Ellick teamed up with Blaine Boaz of UNC Greensboro to finish fourth in the Phoenix Doubles bracket.
  • In singles action, Sayer fell to Rebekah Anderson of Liberty, 6-4, 4-6, 13-11.
  • The Highlanders return to action Oct. 14-16, traveling to Norfolk, Va. for the ITA Atlantic Regional.
