SETTING THE STAGE
- Radford (4-3) will play the first of three-straight neutral site contests as the Highlanders travel across the border to face No. 10/11 West Virginia (9-0) in the Charleston Civic Center for the first Saturday game of the season.
- The Highlanders and Mountaineers return to action after taking the week off for exams.
- On Dec. 10, Radford defeated in-state foe VCU 79-62, while West Virginia took a 101-43 decision over Coppin State.
- The Mountaineers are already 3-0 in neutral site games. West Virginia defeated Butler, Drexel and Virginia Tech in the Paradise Jam.
- Under head coach, Mike McGuire, Radford is 3-4 in neutral site games with all being played in the Big South Tournament.
- In non-conference regular season games over the last three seasons, Radford holds a 16-8 record, while West Virginia is 32-2.
SERIES HISTORY
- Radford and West Virginia meet for only the second time, including the first to be played on a neutral site.
- The first meeting came on Dec. 2, 2009 in Morgantown as the Mountaineers rolled for a 64-28 victory.

- Over the last three seasons, Radford is 29-17 when coming off a win.
- Radford is coming off a performance that saw 48 second-half points scored. That's more than the previous two second halves combined.
- In the win over VCU, Radford shot a blistering 53.7 percent from the field, marking the first since a 53.6 percent showing in a double overtime contest against UNC Asheville on Feb. 25, 2017.

- Sophomore Lydia Rivers and senior Janayla White have led Radford's defense to ranking 11th in the nation in blocked shots per game with 6.3 per game.
- Totaling 44 as a team, Rivers leads the team with 16 and White follows with 10.
- Nationally, Rivers ranks 39th with 2.29 per game.
- Offensively, Khiana Johnson leads the squad with 11.4 per game, scoring double-figures in five games, giving her 17 in her career.
- Junior Destinee Walker follows with 10.2 per game, while Jayda Worthy chips in 9.5 ppg and White contributed 9.3 to round out the Highlanders' top threats.
- Shooting 43.1 percent from the floor, senior Janayla White is averaging 9.3 ppg and 8.7 rpg.
- Radford's offense has dished out 20-plus assists two times on the season with a season-high 21 against VCU.
- Claudia Quevedo, Jen Falconer and Johnson combined for 17 of the 21 assists.
- Dishing out 70 assists through the first seven games, Radford is averaging 10.0 per game.
- Quevedo leads the team with 2.7 per game, ranking tied for ninth in the Big South.
SCOUTING WEST VIRGINIA
- Through the first nine games, West Virginia holds a +31.4 scoring margin, which ranks second in the country.
- The Mountaineers are averaging 84.8 ppg, while limiting opposing teams to 53.3 per game.
- West Virginia's scoring defense ranks 11th in the country and its offense ranks 16th overall.
- The Mountaineers are shooting a blistering 51.6 percent from the field, ranking fourth in the nation.
- On the opposing end of the floor, West Virginia ranks 10th with a 33.3 field-goal percentage defense.
- One of the few programs in the country with all five starters averaging double-figures, Teana Muldrow ranks fifth in the nation with 23.2 ppg, totaling 209 points in nine games.
- Katrina Pardee (14.3) and Naomi Davenport (14.2) round out the Mountaineers averaging 14-plus per game. Kristina King (12.0) and Chania Ray (10.8) round out the starting five that has started all nine games.
- Making 79 of 131 field goal attempts, Muldrow ranks 12th in made field goals and 27th with a 60.3 field goal percentage.
- Pulling down a team best 8.7 rebounds per game, Muldrow has four double-doubles to her credit.
- Davenport follows with 7.7 rpg and Kings pulls down 7.6 per game.
- The Mountaineers hold a +14.3 rebound-margin as a team, pulling down 43.8 as a team, compared to opposing teams 29.4 per game. The margin is sixth best in the country.
- With five different players with 20-plus assists, West Virginia ranks 17th in the country with 182 assists and 11th with 20.2 per game.
- Ray leads the team with 50 and averaging 5.6 dimes per game.
UP NEXT
- Radford's next two neutral site games will be a part of the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic to be played Dec. 21-22.
- The Highlanders will open the classic against Abilene Christian on Dec. 21 in a 12 p.m. PST/3 p.m. EST battle. The two teams will meet for the first team.
- Concluding the classic with a Dec. 22 matchup versus Towson for the first meeting since Nov. 25, 2008. The contest is slated for a 12 p.m. PST/3 p.m. start.
