DZEUBOU COLLECTS SECOND WIN; RADFORD DROPS BIG SOUTH OPENER

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Freshman Drousile Dzeubou picked up her second win on the season as Radford opened up Big South play with a 6-1 loss to Commonwealth foe Liberty, Wednesday afternoon at the Crosswhite Athletic Club.

Dzeubou defeated Aleksandra Panchenko in No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-2 for her second win the last three matches. Meili Martin dropped a heartbreaker in No. 4 singles, falling 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) to Emily Groeneveld.

The Highlanders other win on the day came in No. 1 doubles as Natalie Sayer and Martin teamed up to defeat Anna Dollar and Evangeline Crist 6-4, but Liberty captured the doubles point.

Radford returns to action on Saturday in a matchup against NCAA Division II West Virginia State at 1 p.m.
