RADFORD EXTENDS WINNING STREAK TO FOUR MATCHES

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Radford women's tennis team extended its winning streak to four matches with a 6-1 neutral site victory over North Carolina A&T Saturday afternoon inside the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center on the campus of Virginia Tech.

Natalie Sayer and Meili Martin opened the match with a 6-3 win in No. 1 doubles, but the Aggies collected the doubles point with two straight wins.

Sayer made quick work of Angelica Martinez in No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory to knot the match at one. Martin followed with a 6-3, 6-3 win in the No. 4 spot to give Radford the match lead in which they would not give up.

Martin and Sayer improve to 6-7 on the season with the wins, winning their last five singles matches.

Yuliia Popova collected a 7-5, 6-2 win in No. 5 singles and Claire Nguyen clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-4 victory in No. 3 action.
