HIGHLANDERS FALL 6-1 TO GARDNER-WEBB

RADFORD, Va. – Radford women's tennis team dropped its fourth 6-1 Big South match of the season on Saturday, falling to Gardner-Webb as Natalie Sayer gave the Highlanders their lone win on the day with a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8) win in No. 2 singles.

The win improves Sayer to 8-8 on the season and 2-4 in Big South matches. She holds a 7-4 record in No. 2 singles, winning seven out of her last 10 matches.

In singles action, Meili Martin dropped a hard fought 6-4, 6-4 matchup to Daniela Naupari in No. 3 singles.

Gardner-Webb took the doubles point, but Sayer and Martin teamed up for a 6-2 in No. 1 doubles. The win improved the duo to 7-5 on the season and 3-3 in league play.

Radford continues Big South action on April 1, hosting Presbyterian in a 11 a.m. match.
