RADFORD WOMEN’S TENNIS SWEEPS FLORIDA A&M, 7-0

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Radford women's tennis team picked up its second win of the season with a dominanting 7-0 win over Florida A&M, Tuesday afternoon.

The Highlanders opened the match with three wins over the Rattlers in the doubles competition, taking the doubles point. Drousile Dzeubou and Claire Nguyen began the competition with a 6-2 win.

Natalie Sayer and Meili Martin finished next defeating Dominique Henry and Elizabeth Clayton, 6-4. Karlie Pope and Yuliia Popova ended doubles competition with the closest match of the day with a 7-5 victory in No. 3 doubles.

Nguyen and Martin began singles competition with a pair of wins, before Dzeubou picked up the most decisive win of the day for the Highlanders with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Olivia Rolle.

Sayer picked up a 6-3, 6-0 singles win, while Popova defeated Clayton 6-1, 6-4. Pope closed out singles competition with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Sophia Osabouhien.

Radford returns to the court on Wednesday, facing Western Carolina in Orlando, Fla. for a 11:30 a.m. match. The Highlanders will conclude their spring break trip later in the day with a 6 p.m. match against Aquinas (Mich.).
