RADFORD FALLS TO PC 5-2; SAYER WINS THIRD STRAIGHT MATCH

RADFORD, Va. – Radford fell to Presbyterian for the first time in program history with a 5-2 loss, Saturday morning at the Radford Tennis Complex.

The Highlanders opened the match on fire, taking all three doubles matches. Natalie Sayer and Meili Martin teamed up for a 6-2 win over Nicole Croxton and Tracy Johnson for the first doubles win.

Karlie Pope and Yuliia Popova handed Radford the doubles point with a 6-4 decision over Beth Taylor and Brittany Nuttall.

In singles play, Sayer collected the only Radford win with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Caroline Ferrari. The win improves her to 9-8 and 8-4 in No. 2 singles. She has won her last three matches, holding an 8-2 clip in the last 10.

Martin dropped a tough 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 1-0 (11-9) battle in No. 4 singles to Nuttall.

Radford will conclude Big South play on April 9, hosting in-state foe Longwood for a 1 p.m. matchup.
