SOFTBALL PLAYS FOR SEASON SWEEP OF HOKIES WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Live Stats

RADFORD, Va. –
The Radford softball team plays its final non-conference game of the season on Wednesday, making the short trip over to Blacksburg for a second meeting with Virginia Tech. First pitch at Tech Softball Park is set for 7 p.m.

The Highlanders will look to follow up the 8-0 five-inning home shutout of the Hokies last week and sweep the New River Valley season series for the third time, but first since 1997.

Radford has won in Blacksburg three times, with the most recent an 11-6 decision in 2009. Tech posted a 2-1 win on its homefield last year.

The game is the final regular-season road contest for the Highlanders and the home finale for the Hokies.
