HUNTINGTON, W.Va.
– The Radford men's golf team begins the 2017-18 season traveling to Huntington, W.Va., to compete in the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational at the Guyan Golf and Country Club. The two-day tournament begins on Monday.

Myles Creighton looks to begin his senior season on the right track. He capped off his junior season in the Big South Championships tied for fourth individually with a six-under (210). The fourth place finish tabbed him a spot on the Big South All-Championship Team and he was the only Highlander named Big South All-Conference. He finished in the top 10 in every spring tournament including two first place finishes.

Among the other returners are seniors Ben Ramsey and Gareth Sargent, junior Peter Gasperini and sophomore Ryan Ahrens.

"Our returners have a lot of tournament experience," Mike Grant said. "Myles Creighton, Ben Ramsey and Gareth Sargent saw the most playing time last year. Peter Gasperini and Ryan Ahrens will also be ready to contribute. Having some new players it will be important to get quality rounds from our returners."

There are solid newcomers, who are in the mix of this Highlander roster. The newcomers include; Hunter DuncanTyler HullGriffin JonesTy Olinger and Parker See. Duncan and Olinger will make their debuts in a Radford lineup on Monday at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational.

"I am very excited about all of our newcomers," Grant stated. "I believe that they will contribute to our depth and push the returners. I expect to have the freshmen in the lineup early in the season. It will be a very competitive environment as we determine the lineup."
