HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
Radford ranks first in the Big South in goals per game (2.54) and assists per game (2.00), which adds up to 7.08 points per game where the Highlanders also sit atop the conference. Part of the offensive explosion comes from senior Jasmine Casarez, who ranks first in the Big Soth with 5.69 shots per game and has totaled 74 for the season. Junior Nelia Perez ranks first in the league with eight assists. Casarez's hat trick led the Highlanders to a 4-1 victory over USC Upstate on Saturday. It was a spectacular night for Casarez as her three goals set a career-high. It was the first hat trick from a Highlander since 2015, when Amanda Philip scored three goals against Southern Virginia. Perez had a hat trick in her own unique way with three assists. It was the third multi-assist performance of her career and she set a career-high with three.
ABOUT THE BLUE HOSE
Presbyterian enters with a 7-6 overall record and a 2-5 Big South record. The Blue Hose won five straight after dropping its season opener to Furman, but has since then lost five of its last seven. The two conference wins came against Campbell and Hampton. PC has outscored its opponents 26-21 and is averaging two goals per game. Kelsey Yeager leads the team with five goals, while Preston Robinette has a team-high six assists. Robinette also leads the team with 12 points.
