MESZAROS PICKS UP ANOTHER WIN; RADFORD FALLS 6-1 TO SOUTH DAKOTA

ORLANDO, Fla. – Radford opened its Spring Break trip with a 6-1 neutral site loss to South Dakota Tuesday afternoon as Lotti Meszaros provided the only Highlander point on the day.

Meszaros has won two straight singles matches, improving to 6-3 on the season, most singles wins by a Highlander. The freshman defeated Habiba Aly in the No. 3 spot 6-1, 5-7, 10-4.

Radford opened doubles play with a win in No. 2 doubles as Natalie Sayer and Tyler Blalock handed Barbora Kollarova and Nanette Nylund a 6-3 loss. The Highlanders were unable to build off the win, dropping the next two doubles matches and the first four singles matches.

In No. 2 singles, Sayer battled hard against Kollarova, dropping a pair of 7-6 (3), 7-6 (5) matches that could have went either way.

Radford continues play in the Sunshine State on Wednesday, taking on Norfolk State in a 12:45 p.m., matchup between Commonwealth foes.
