GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Radford women's soccer team has its first road test of the early season on Sunday at 7 p.m., when they travel to Greenville, N.C., for a meeting with East Carolina at Johnson Stadium.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP
East Carolina leads the all-time series, 5-2. It will be the Pirates and Highlanders first meeting in 18 years. The last match the two squads played each other came on October 1, 2000 and the Highlanders lost, 3-0.
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
Seniors Jessica Wollmann and Jordan Lundin have a goal each in the early going of 2018. Wollmann now has 13 goals in her career, while Lundin has eight. True freshman Helena Gonzalez picked up her first career assist on Wollmann's goal and added two shots with one on goal. The Highlanders defense held SFU to three first half shots. Courtenay Kaplan played 65 minutes in goal and picked up five saves.
LAST TIME OUT
The Highlanders opened the 2018 season with stiff competition against Saint Francis (Pa.). Each team took a lead and the each team answered and Thursday night's competition ended with a 2-2 tie. 20 players saw action in the season opener for the second consecutive season.
ABOUT THE PIRATES
East Carolina faced Old Dominion in Norfolk on Friday night and drew, 1-1. After falling behind 1-0 and playing a man down after 15 minutes into the match, the Pirates answered in the 48th minute with a goal from Tori Riggs. The Monarchs led with 19 shots; compared to ECU's 11, but the Pirates fired nine in the second half. East Carolina dropped eight of their last nine matches en route to a 6-10-2 record in 2017, which led to the hire of Jason Hamilton.
