WOMEN'S TENNIS ADDS FERGUSON AS VOLUNTEER COACH


 
RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's tennis program has added John Dalton Ferguson as a volunteer assistant coach, Head Coach Jessica Giuggioli announced on Monday.
 
"John is very passionate about tennis and he was an exemplary student-athlete," said Giuggioli. "His help is going to be extremely valuable to our program."
 
A 2017 graduate of Emory & Henry College, Ferguson played atop the Wasps' lineup for four years. He finished his collegiate career with 28 singles wins and 19 doubles wins playing exclusively as the team's No. 1 or No. 2. His senior season saw him win eight matches at one singles and six victories at one and two doubles en route to the Team MVP award.
 
Ferguson excelled in the classroom as well, double majoring in History in Political Science.
 
From 2014 to 2018, he was as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Gate City High School, for the girl's tennis team. He also worked as the assistant tennis pro at the Glenrochie Country Club in Abingdon, Va. from 2014 to 2016.
