FAMILIAR FACE TO START THE 2019 SEASON
This will be the third straight year that North Carolina A&T and Radford match up. In the previous two seasons Radford took both contests, 6-1 last season and 5-1 two seasons ago. Drousile Dzeubou, Tyler Blalock, and Jeanine Acierto all played in last year's match all collecting set victories.

2019 BIG SOUTH PRESEASON POLL
Radford was picked to finish fourth out of ten teams in this year's preseason poll. The Highlanders are continuing their upward trend under head coach Jessica Giuggioli after being picked seventh in last year's poll. With several newcomers to help a returning core of three players, the Highlanders are looking forward to a successful 2019 campaign.

2018 YEAR IN REVIEW
The Highlanders collected 10 wins in 2018, with victories against in-state foes such as George Mason, Hampton, Longwood and Norfolk State. Dzeubou led all returning players with an 18-15 singles record and a 23-8 doubles record across the season.

DID YOU KNOW?
Radford was supposed to open the season playing West Virginia State in Blacksburg on Wednesday, but the match has been postponed to Monday at 1 p.m., at the Radford Tennis Complex. The Highlanders are looking to open the season with a victory in two straight years.

NEW FACES FOR THE HIGHLANDERS
Radford will look to several newcomers this year to help bolster the team. UTRGV transfer Anastasia Belyaeva was previously on the court for the Highlanders in November at the Wofford Invitational, picking up a duo of singles wins and pair of doubles wins. Three freshmen have also joined the team. Malin Falk, Katey Fruehauf, and Marielle Leahy bring some new energy to the team as they won five singles combined during the Wofford Invitational.
