GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Radford women's golf team concluded the Starmount Fall Classic Tuesday afternoon in fifth place, marking the second top-five finish for the Highlanders through three tournaments. Radford shot a three-round score of 920.
Sidney Walker led the way for the Highlanders with her second top-10 finish of the season, shooting a 2-over 74 on the final day to finish tied for 10th.
Natalie Welsh and
Jayde Dudley each finished the tournament tied for 14th at 14-over.
Welsh was 2-under on par-5 holes and 1-over on par-3 holes, while Dudley was tied for second with 39 pars in the tournament, while Walker had 38th pars, the fifth-most in the field.
Beatriz Mosquera Quintas jumped 10 spots on the leaderboard with her best round of the tournament, shooting a 76 (4-over) to move from a tie for 37th up to sole possession of 27th place.
Welsh, Mosquera Quintas and
Riko Nagai finished tied for eighth in the field with seven birdies. Four of Mosquera Quintas' seven birdies came in the final round.

The Highlanders have a week off from competition before heading to Kiawah Island, South Carolina, for the Palmetto Intercollegiate. The three-day tournament begins on Sunday, Oct. 13.
