KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Freshman
Jayde Dudley completed a top-20 showing at the Palmetto Intercollegiate Tuesday at Turtle Point Golf Course, leading the Radford women's golf team throughout the three-day tournament.
As a team, the Highlanders made another one-shot improvement from the previous round, carding a score of 308 for the final round.
Dudley shot an even-par 72 in the final round to lead Radford in scoring for the day. The Roanoke, Virginia, native led the team with five birdies in the round, including three in a four-hole stretch (Nos. 2, 4 and 5), and added 10 pars.
Beatriz Mosquera Quintas rebounded to post an 11-shot improvement from her second round, carding a 3-over 75 on the final day. Mosqura Quintas made four birdies in the round, including three consecutive birdies on holes. 7-9.
Sidney Walker finished with her second straight round of 77 (5-over) for the Highlanders.
Overall, host institution College of Charleston won the team event with a score of even-par, one shot better than runner-up Coastal Carolina. Troy's Nicole Lorup won the individual medal with a score of 9-under, three shots better than Fresno State's Brigitte Thibault.
