WOMEN’S TENNIS DOMINATES CHAPMAN, 8-1

ORANGE, Calif. – The Radford women's tennis team dominated Chapman 8-1 on Thursday afternoon in its final match of spring break.

Since Chapman is a Division III school, each doubles match counts as one point so the first team to win five matches claimed the team victory. Radford was well on its way to five points as they took an early 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles play.

Drousile Dzeubou increased her win total with a win on court 1 and Anastasia Belyaeva clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-2 victory on court 2.

The wins kept coming for Radford as Malin Falk got back on track with a 6-2, 6-0 victory and increased the Radford lead to 6-0 with three matches to play.

Katey Fruehauf defeated Nicole Fouts on court 5 and the Highlanders were two matches away from a 9-0 sweep. Unfortunately, the sweep didn't happen as Tyler Blalock fell on court 4, but the Highlander squad backed her up with another victory on court 6 thanks to Jeanine Acierto.

UP NEXT
The Highlanders will return to the NRV and face Longwood on March 20 at 1 p.m. Wednesday's match is Greek Day as all Greek organizations are invited to join the team the Radford Tennis Complex.
