JAYDE DUDLEY NAMED BIG SOUTH FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After placing in a tie for fourth place in the first tournament of her collegiate career, Jayde Dudley was named Big South Conference Freshman of the Week, the conference announced on Thursday afternoon.

Dudley led Radford with her fourth-place finish, in which she shot 7-over-par across three rounds (223). The Roanoke, Virginia, native had identical rounds of 1-over 73 in the first two rounds of the tournament and shot a 5-over 77 on the final day of play.

Dudley was second on the team with nine birdies and helped lead the Highlanders to a second-place finish at the William & Mary Fall Invitational. The team finished the tournament three shots behind overall winner Boston University and shot a school record of 904 over 54 holes.

The Highlanders return to action on Sept. 23 when they play in the Pirate Collegiate Classic in Greenville, North Carolina. East Carolina serves as the host institution for the two-day tournament.
