
MEN’S GOLF IN FIFTH THROUGH DAY ONE OF RIVER RUN COLLEGIATE

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Radford men's golf team shot 287 and 300 in the first and second rounds of the River Run Collegiate on Monday, which is good for fifth-best in the 15-team field.
The Highlanders totaled 23 birdies in the first round and were five strokes out of first place. Tyler Hull paced the Highlanders with a two-under (70) with Hunter Duncan right behind him with a one-under (71). The two of them combined for 10 of Radford's birdies. Parker See tallied six birdies in the first round but finished three-over (75).
Radford fell three spots at the end of its second round after only tallying nine birdies. Hull once again led the way with four and finished the second round even par. His stellar play landed him in a tie for seventh. Hull had the ninth most birdies in the field. He and the Highlanders finished the first day with 32, tied for second most. Only James Madison had the most with 47. The Dukes also have an 11-stroke lead over the field.
Radford is within striking distance of the top three and is just four strokes away from the third-place team, Wright State.
