RADFORD TIED FOR SECOND FOLLOWING DAY ONE OF WILLIAM & MARY FALL INVITATIONAL

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Highlanders are in good position through the first two rounds of the William & Mary Fall Invitational on Sunday and are tied for second in the 10 team field.

Radford has a pair of underclassmen inside the Top 10 as sophomore Beatriz Mosquera Quintas is tied for ninth and freshman Jayde Dudley is tied for third. It's the second straight season the Highlanders have had a freshman inside the top five after one day of play at the William & Mary Fall Invitational.

Mosquera Quintas ended round one outside of the top 15 but cut a stroke off her first outing and propelled her way into the top 10. Dudley started strong with a 73 in round one – tying her for fifth – and also had a 73 in round two moving up to spots into a tie for third.

As a team the Highlanders shot a 297 as a team in large part to Sidney Walker who finished in a tie for third with a round one even par-72. She unfortunately fell out of the top 20 after adding nine strokes to her average but still is in a tie for 21^st. She is second of all players with seven birdies through the first two rounds.

Natalie Welsh and Riko Nagai also contributed to the team's success.
