RADFORD DISPATCHES MOUNT ST. MARY’S

BOX SCORE RADFORD, Va. – The women's tennis program took all seven points and had no problems taking down Mount St. Mary's Sunday highlighted by Alexis Cramer crushing her opponent on court four 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles play the Highlanders played on just courts one and two as Mount St. Mary's was unable to field an opponent for the third court. Anastasia Belyaeva and Jeanine Acierto had no issues dispatching their opponents on court two to clinch the doubles point 6-0 while Drousile Dzeubou and Tyler Blalock finished with a 6-1 win on court one.

The win on court two was Belyaeva and Acierto's second of the year on that flight while Dzeubou and Blalock's win was their third on court one. The team as a whole this season has eleven doubles wins through dual play this spring.

With the Highlanders already owning points on courts five and six due to forfeit, the dominant trend continued as all four competing athletes cruised through their competition. Cramer was the first to finish for Radford, winning with ease 6-0, 6-0 on court four for her first win on court four this season in as many tries.

Dzeubou finished next winning her match in no time and Belyaeva followed her with a 6-4, 5-3 shortened game due to her opponent retiring. Belyaeva's win was her six straight on court one and seventh overall this spring. Finishing off the victorious Highlanders was Blalock winning dominantly on court three.

It's a packed week of action for Radford as they will play South Carolina State, George Mason, Norfolk State, Western Illinois and Savannah State all in the span of four days.
