SIDNEY WALKER NAMED TO BIG SOUTH ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Radford women's golfer Sidney Walker has been named to the Big South Women's Golf All-Academic Team, the conference office announced on Monday.

"Sidney has led our team both on and off the golf course since day one this season," said head coach Jeff Beeler. "Any accolade that she receives is well deserved and I couldn't be happier for her."

Walker, a junior from Springfield, Virginia, finished the season ranked second on the team and 18th in the Big South Conference in scoring average at 76.85. She earned a pair of top-10 finishes at the William & Mary Fall Invitational and the Starmount Fall Classic, while also posting an undefeated match play record in three matches.

In addition, Walker earned her first weekly conference honor when she was named Big South Golfer of the Week in February following a perfect 3-0 record at the Oyster Shuck Match Play, where she helped lead the Highlanders to a third-place finish.

Off the course, Walker carries a 3.50 GPA as a finance major. She was also a WGCA All-American Scholar Athlete in 2019.
