Creasy Adds Six Newcomers to 2021 Roster

RADFORD, Va. – The 2021 Radford softball roster will have some new additions as head coach Hope Creasy announced the accumulation of six freshmen on Monday morning.
 
The six freshmen come from South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida and Virginia, including two from Montgomery County.

 
 
TORI BOYDboyd
IF/OF | 5-5 | Christiansburg, Va. | Auburn HS
 
  • Led the Eagles to a 69-9 record during her career
  • Hit .415 with 46 runs scored, 24 RBIs and 15 stolen bases in 2019
  • Part of Auburn High School's state championship team in 2019 and runners-up in 2018

 

 
TAYLOR BREIDTbreidt
IF | 5-3 | Waxhaw, N.C. | Parkwood HS
 
  • Won 2A State Championship as a freshman and went to the postseason each year after that
  • Named First Team All-Conference in the Rocky River Conference as a junior (2019)
  • In that season she hit .438 and had a 1.056 on-base plus slugging percentage
 
 
ALEXIS FERGUSONferguson
IF/OF | 5-6 | Lynchburg, Va. | Brookville HS
 
  • Carried the team to a conference championship in 2019, a district championship in 2017 and a state championship as a freshman
  • Led the team to a combined 62-10 record through three years of play
  • As a junior she led the district in home runs and RBIs, where she was named first team all-district in the same season


 
PAITYN MOOREpaityn
IF/OF | 5-1 | Lakeland, Fla. | George Jenkins HS
 
  • Led George Jenkins to a 2018 District Championship
  • Hit .474 as a senior and was a four-year starter
  • Helped carry the Eagles to 65 wins in a little over three seasons



 
KYNDALL STANLEYkyndall
OF | 5-6 | Christiansburg, Va. | Christiansburg HS
 
  • Four-year starter and hit .448 in three full years with a .477 on-base percentage
  • Two-time all-region outfield and three-time all-conference/district outfield
  • Named second team all-state and All-Timesland leading into senior season
 

OLIVIA TURPINturpin
IF/OF | 5-3 | Bluffton, S.C. | May River HS
 
  • Batted .443 with 84 RBIs and eight home runs in her time with the Sharks
  • Hit .438 with 10 RBIs and one home run though six games of a shortened senior season
  • Named all-region all three full seasons she played and all-state as a sophomore
