
Men's Soccer's Incera Stands Tall Despite Loss To UNCG

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Radford Men's Soccer team didn't have a great night in Greensboro on Saturday, taking a 5-0 loss to UNCG and moving their overall record to 2-3 on the year.
Junior goalkeeper Joseba Incera did his best to stand tall in the net, making nine saves. His best one came in the ninth minute when he dove full-stretch to his left and got a hand on a Spartan shot to keep the game scoreless early.
UNCG took the lead in the 16th minute and then doubled it in the 41st minute to go up 2-0 at halftime. The Spartans then added a PK in the 59th minute, and two more goals at the 71st and 79th marks to secure the victory.

UNCG took the lead in the 16th minute and then doubled it in the 41st minute to go up 2-0 at halftime. The Spartans then added a PK in the 59th minute, and two more goals at the 71st and 79th marks to secure the victory.

- Other than Incera, sophomore defender/midfielder Solomon Clark was the only Highlander to play the full 90 minutes
- Junior defender Noah Haddad made his season debut after recovering from a leg injury that had hampered him up to this point
- Freshmen Cristian Cruz and Yoshiya Okawa both earned a starting nod while Leul Mehari, Patrick Figaro, Mark Silva, Jan Maldonado, and Hivan Kouonang all got valuable experience
