GREENVILLE, N.C. – Similar to last weekend's tournament, the Radford Women's Golf team showed strong improvements from the first round to the second, knocking seven strokes off their score to finish the first day of the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate on a high note
Riko Nagai is leading the pack so far at 13-over par thanks to a very strong 74 in the second round. The senior made birdie on the 6th and 12th holes and rose 17 spots in the player leaderboard.
After playing as an individual at William & Mary, Niki Batac made her season debut representing the Highlanders on Monday and shot +15 to end the day tied for 38th.
Natalie Welsh and Kaitlyn Mosdell had nearly identical days and the duo now sits tied for 41st at 18-over. Welsh had birdies on the 4th and 13th holes during the second round while relied on consistent par finishes to carry her.
Reigning Big South Freshman of the Week Caleigh Street rounded out the scoring at 20-over par. She birdied the 445-yard, Par 5 18th hole both times through to highlight her day.
