GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Radford women's golf team finished strong at the Grandover Fall Classic on Tuesday, posting their best round of the week to move into 8^th place in the final standings.
 
After shooting a 314 in the first round and a 322 in the second round, due partially to the difficult playing conditions, the Highlanders came out and fired off a 310, the sixth-best score of any of the 12 teams in the tournament on the day.
 
Hannah Lindemann just missed out on a top 10 finish, shooting a 5-over 77 in the third round to bring her final score to +14, good for 11^th place. She really shined on Par 4 holes, shooting the third-best on them of anyone in the field.
 
Team captain Natalie Welsh carded a 3-over par 75 on the strength of four birdies. Her nine birdies over three rounds was tied for the second-most of any player on the course, putting her in a tie for 23^rd at +19 overall.
 
Shooting +24 to tie for 37^th was Jimenna Ramirez, who continues her solid play to begin the season. Right behind her was Jayde Dudley, who shot +29 to tie for 49^th after jumping up eight spots. 
 
Wrapping up this week's action was Shea Smith, who shot +33 to tie for 56^th in her Radford starting lineup debut. She and Dudley each carded a birdie in the third round.

In the team's final tournament of the fall season, Radford heads to Crowfield Country Club for Charleston Southern's Buccaneer Classic. Rounds one and two are slated for Monday, Oct. 17 and round three will be played on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
