BURLINGTON, N.C. – Individual performances continue to shine as the Radford women's golf team moves into a tie for third through two rounds of the Elon Women's Invitational at Alamance Country Club.
The Highlanders are knotted in a tie with William & Mary after shooting a first-round 291 and a second-round 289 to end the day with a combined 580. UNC Greensboro leads all 15 teams in the field with a 575 while host, Elon, is in second at 578.
Grace Addison delivered the most consistent day on the team, shooting 72-71 while reigning Big South Freshman of the Week
Macy Johnson had the lowest score of the day thanks to a second-round 70 to follow-up a first-round 73.
Hannah Lindemann also showed out as the team's de facto elder statesman, shooting 73-72 from the top spot in the starting lineup.
Shea Smith and
Caroline Gilreath, who is playing as an individual, each carded a strong 73 in the first round before shooting 76 and 78 in the second round, respectively.
Mckenzie Weddle rounded out the scoring on the day, shooting an 80 over her first 18 holes before improving to the tune of a 77 in her last 18 holes.
