FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. – Three top-15 finishes help the Highlanders place in a tie for third place at the Fripp Island Intercollegiate to close out their fall schedule.
Sophomore Mckenzie Weddle would, for the second straight tournament, lead the Highlanders on the individual leaderboard. Weddle would record a 76 (+4) in round one of the intercollegiate, knocking in two birdies on the first and fourth holes. She would follow up with her best round in the second, going 74 (+2), adding another pair of birdies to her name. She would close out with an 80 (+8) on the third and final day of the Intercollegiate to place her in a tie for eighth on the individual leaderboard.
Macy Johnson would have a consistent performance on the course that would see her place 12th on the individual leaderboard. Johnson would secure a 75 (+3) opening round. She would follow up with a 79 (+7) and then wrap up the third and final round with another 79 (+7).
Caroline would be the last Highlander to fill in the top-15 on the individual leaderboard with her tie for 14th. The Roanoke, Va. Native would open the Intercollegiate with an 80 (+8) and record an 82 (+10) for day two. She would save her best stuff for the final round, going 74 (+2) to lock up the tie for 14th.
Hannah Lindemann wouldn't be too far behind after she was able to place 16th after going 81-79-77 (+21) in the three rounds. Wrapping up the Highlander lineup was Shea Smith who would go on to secure an 82-85-82 (+33) to close out her time on the course.
