Stephens and Brandow Earn Big South Awards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Thursday afternoon that Michaela Stephens and Emily Brandow have earned conference awards.

Stephens earned the second team singles all-conference nod in her debut season with the Highlanders. Stephens was electric for the Highlanders all season earning five victories including three within conference play all on court two. Stephens also earned a lone victory on court one singles. The Jamaica native is the first Highlander freshman to make an all-conference list since 2021.

Battling on the top flights every season, Brandow began her career in 2021 clinching a 4-3 semifinals victory in the Big South Tournament to push Radford to the Championship for the second time ever. Since then, she has accumulated 32 singles wins and 32 doubles wins which both rank within the top-15 in program history and a 3.97 GPA in Biology. This marks back-to-back seasons as the team's all-academic honoree for Brandow.

Stephens, Brandow and the Highlanders return to action on Friday, April 19th, taking on the first-seed UNC Asheville in the Big South tournament semifinals.
