BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Radford women's golf team with a top-10 finish by Caroline Gilreath would see the Highlanders place 8th in a shorten two round Elon Invitational at Alamance Country Club
Caroline Gilreath paced the Highlanders through the invitational as she would go on and finish the first round with a 72 (+1), picking up three birdies along the way. She would finish her time on the course going 76 (+5). Gilreath would post the lowest score for Radford at 148 and see herself in a tie for ninth on the player leaderboard.
Hannah Lindemann would post the second lowest total score for the Highlander squad finishing at 154 over the 36-holes. Lindemann would remain consistent going back-to-back rounds posting a 77 (+6) and picking up a total of three birdies during her time on the course.
Sophomore Macy Johnson wouldn't be too far behind Lindemann as she would finish her time on course with a score total of 155. Johnson would finish round with a 79 (+8) but would improve upon that in the second posting a 76 (+5)
Charlotte, N.C. native Shea Smith would open the invitational carding a 77 (+6) and picking up a birdie along the way to finish off round one. However, she would finish round two of the invitational with a 79 (+8) but was able to add three more birdies to her count in the round.
Mckenzie Weddle and Kaitlyn Mosdell would complete the Highlander lineup for the Elon Invitational. Weddle would record 157 (76-81) over the 36-holes. Mosdell would post a 160 total (81-79) and pick up a pair of birdies in the back nine of the second to finish her time on course.

The Highlanders will have about two weeks off before making a return to the course on Monday, Sep. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 1 for the Pirate Collegiate Classic with the event being played at the Greenville Country Club in Greenville, N.C.
