A LOOK BACK
The Highlanders and Eagles have met 10 times previously in the regular season, with Radford owning a 9-1 edge in the series winning the last nine straight dating back to 1976. Radford and Bridgewater last faced off during the 2022-23 campaign, with the Highlanders coming out on top 97-46.

PRESEASON HOPES
The Highlanders have high hopes going into the debut season under first-year head coach Zach Chu. Picked to finish fourth in the Big South preseason poll by the conference's coaches, Radford also garnered a preseason first-team all-conference honor in Jaylon Johnson. Johnson transferred to the Highlanders for this season, bringing with him a wealth of Division I experience. In 2024-25, Johnson earned first-team all-Ohio Valley praise leading the conference in assists while averaging 14.3 ppg.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Head coach Mike Maczko is looking to build momentum in his second season at the helm of the Bridgewater program after just missing the ODAC Tournament field in 2024-25. The Eagles bring back experience in senior guard Malik Richardson who averaged 8.3 points after shooting 41% overall and 38% from three last season. The roster make up includes six returners and 13 newcomers to the roster.
