Track & Field races to five personal records and five season bests at Virginia High Performance

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Radford women's track & field program raced to five personal records and five season bests in another standout showing at the 2025 Virginia High Performance meet, hosted by the No. 24 nationally-ranked University of Virginia at Lannigan Field on Sunday.

NOTABLES
- Sienna Bailey took fifth in the women's 1500-meter race with a time of 4:29.22. The strong showing improved her to third overall in the Big South in the event.
- Jaslyne Robinson set a season best in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.54. The mark is the sixth-best performance posted so far this outdoor season in the conference.
- Mia Farley took the top spot with a personal-best performance in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase. She crossed the line in 11:38.62. The showing is good for sixth overall in the Big South.
- The women's 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relay squads each claimed third overall in their respective races. The 4x100 unit is now ranked seventh in the Big South while the 4x400 squad slots in at fourth.
- Jeylah Hamrick placed second overall in a stacked field in the women's 400-meter dash. She posted a time of 54.43.
- Mya Rosser took second overall and finished with a personal best toss of 43.22 meters (141'-9") in the women's hammer throw. She also posted a season best chuck of 37.40 meters (122'-8") to take eighth in the discus. She improved to 14th overall in the conference in the discus event.
- Claire Keefe raced to a personal best in the women's 800-meter race to take sixth overall at 2:17.63.
- Katelyn Campbell and Sylvia Hemmer came in second and third in the women's 3000-meter steeple. The duo is now ranked seventh and 12th in the Big South in the event, respectively.
- Kandace McIvor set a personal record with her ninth-place finish in the long jump.
 
NEXT UP
The Highlander squad will be split up across two events in the upcoming weekend. Radford will compete at both Lynchburg's Hill City Twilight on Friday, May 2 and the Duke Twilight on Sunday, May 4. The two meets are the final tune up for the Highlanders before the upcoming Big South Outdoor Championship that runs Monday, May 12 through Wednesday, May 14 in Asheville, North Carolina.
