A LOOK BACK
Radford and Gardner-Webb met in the early days of conference play with the Highlanders trailing big early before using a big push into halftime and out of it for a decisive 89-80 victory. In that meeting, Radford was led by five different players in double figures scoring. Del Jones paved the way in the win, scoring 27 points off 10 made shots from the floor. Dennis Parker Jr. (17), Jaylon Johnson (16), Tyson Brown (12), and Brennan Rigsby Jr. (11) all had strong showings to help overcome the early deficit. Overall, in the series history, Gardner-Webb owns an 18-16 lead but Radford has won the last four straight dating back to 2024.

SENIORS GET IT DONE ON SENIOR DAY
In Radford's big victory over Charleston Southern last week, it was thanks in part to a big showing from their seniors on senior day. Jaylon Johnson led Radford in the box score with 17 points and four assists. Tyson Brown had a big day on the boards with nine rebounds, three on the offensive end, to help Radford win the second-chance point battle. Coming off the bench, Louie Jordan hit back-to-back three-pointers in the middle of his own 8-0 run that gave Radford a decisive early lead.

JORDAN PROVIDING BIG MINUTES
Over Radford's last five games, Mari Jordan has been quietly providing some strong play off the bench for the Highlanders. Scoring seven or more points in every game over that stretch, Jordan capped it most recently with a personal conference-high 12 points against Charleston Southern on efficient 5-of-6 shooting. Jordan has been one of Radford's best shooters overall this season, sitting at an even 50% on 100 attempts which ranks third on the team.

SCOUTING THE RUNNIN' BULLDOGS
The final results haven't been kind to Gardner-Webb as of late with the program navigating through a 3-25 (1-12 Big South) record in the 2025-26 season. The Runnin' Bulldogs are coming off a week of back-to-back games against Winthrop and High Point where the team gave up 103 and 112 points, respectively. The team most recently fell to Charleston Southern on Tuesday night 75-66. Their lone conference win came at home against USC Upstate, 67-65, with the team winless on the road this season.

Collin Hawkins, Jacob Hogarth and Spence Sims have been highlights in conference play so far this season. Hogarth is in the middle of a five-game stretch scoring in double figures including most recently posting 20 points against Winthrop and 12 points against High Point.
