Fort Myers, Fla. – Radford's swimming and diving team was back in the water for the first time in over a month when they faced Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association foes Florida Gulf Coast and Georgia Southern. The Highlanders (1-7, 1-4) fell to Florida Gulf Coast 207-75 and Georgia Southern 236-54 on Saturday at Florida Gulf Coast Aquatic Center.

Alexis Butner# (Charlotte, N.C./Providence) and #
Kate Keck# (Millersville, Pa./Duquesne) placed sixth in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:59.52.
The Highlanders swam very well individually with #
Morgan Hinson# (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) capturing sixth place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:07.57. Sears and Butner also placed high in very tough competition with a fifth place in the 100-yard backstroke and a sixth place in the 100-yard butterfly.
The Highlanders return to the pool on Sunday, January 11 when they face College of Charleston and Limestone at 2:00 p.m.
