TOURNAMENT CENTRAL

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford swimming & diving team will host the second annual Highlander Invitational beginning 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Dedmon Center.

The eight-team event (Campbell, Georgia Southern, Liberty, Millersville, Mount St. Mary's, North Carolina A&T, Radford and Youngstown State) will feature preliminary rounds (Thursday & Friday) and conclude with 6 p.m. finals on the first two days.

Swimmers will hit the water at 9 a.m. Saturday with the finals scheduled for 3 p.m.

In addition to 11 newcomers, Radford returns 15 letterwinners from the 2009-10 squad, including diver Katie Shaffer, who earned her fourth career CCSA Diver of the Week honor on Nov. 3.

Shaffer also qualified for NCAA Zone Regional Meet for her performance.

The Highlanders will honor seniors Kaitlyn Baker, Janelle Colie, Kate Keck and Erin Clark before the finals Friday evening.
