The Eagles (24-21, 7-6 Big South) salvaged a split with a 3-1 victory in game two.

Eight Highlanders recorded at least one of the team's 14 hits and five had multiple-hit contests. Also, five batters knocked in two runs apiece.
Radford jumped on Winthrop for an early 2-0 lead in the first.
Kristen Shifflett led off with her 10th long ball of the season and the 31st of her career, briefly tying Pickel and Creasy for the record.
Creasy made it 2-0 with a two-out RBI single to right.
In the bottom half of the inning, Megan Chapman matched Shifflett as she took the first pitch and deposited over the leftfield fence, cutting Radford's lead to 2-1.
The Highlanders had opportunities to extend their lead in the next two frames, putting runners on second and third, but failing to get any runs across the plate.
After coming up short in the second and third, Radford hit one home run in each of the final four innings to break open a one-run game and secure the victory.

A two-run sixth extended Winthrop's lead to 3-0. Taylor Wright led off with a home run and a two-out RBI single Megan Evans pushed across another run.
Those runs proved to be important as Radford tallied a run in the seventh and had the tying run at the plate in three straight at bats. After a walk and a single put runners on first and second, Evans got out of the jam with three straight ground outs to end the game.
Kellie Snooks suffered the defeat in 5.2 innings of work. She surrendered three runs on seven hits.
Jackie Jenkins got the last out of the sixth.
Shifflett and
Michelle Beall each had two hits for the Highlanders.
