FINAL RESULTS
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Freshmen
Jessica Frazelle and
Haley Schweitzer of the Radford swimming and diving squad continue to impress by recording season-best times in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.79) and breaststroke (2:36.69), respectively, in CCSA action Saturday afternoon.
Radford split the meet picking up victories over Liberty, Howard and North Carolina A&T, while falling to Georgia Southern, Campbell and host Davidson.
In addition to their season-best performances, Frazelle also touched the wall third in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:12.87. Schweitzer also recorded a Top-10 performance in the 200-yard butterfly coming in at the 2:15.81 mark.
Colleen Miller paced the Highlanders in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.72 placing fourth, while recording another Top-10 performance in the 200-yard backstroke coming in at 2:18.56.
In diving action,
Katie Shaffer continues to impress placing second on the three-meter board scoring a 231.05 and placing second in the one-meter board with a score of 231.05.
Freshmen
Alex Poletti and Skye Hicking also recorded impressive scores in the three-meter and one-meter boards, respectively. Poletti placed fourth recording a score of 213.05, while Hickling scored a 210.20 coming in fifth.
Radford will enjoy a three-week break before the CCSA Championship on Feb. 17 in Athens, Ga.
