WOMEN'S RESULTS
CONWAY, S.C. – Thomas Keefe (Fairfax Station, Va./South County Secondary) and
Teresa Williamson (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) each posted personal-best times, helping Radford cross country to solid team showings at the Big South Preview Saturday morning.
Keefe shattered his personal-best from a year ago by 36 seconds with a 26:27.00, finishing in 21st place. The freshman Williamson also eclipsed her fastest collegiate time by nearly a minute at 18:58, good for 24th.
As a team, the Highlander men finished fifth out of 10 teams with 125 points while the women capped the meet in sixth place with 174 points.
The Radford men had a solid showing with four runners finishing within 13 positions of each other. Keefe led the way, followed by
Chris Weeks (Hamilton, Va./Loudoun Valley) at 26:50 (23rd), freshman
Ryan Farnan (Winchester, Va./Millbrook) at 26:58 (29th), junior
Sam Keltner (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial), who finished in 30th place at 27:02 and
Brian Gorwitz (Yorktown, Va./Grafton) had a 27:24 showing in 34th place.
Following the leadership of Williamson,
Caroline Ratterree (Falcon, Colo./Northeastern JUCO) crossed the finish line in 36th at 19:33 and just behind her in 39th was
Hannah Scheren (Lovettsville, Va./Loudoun Valley), who completed the 5k in 19:54.
