FRAZELLE CLAIMS TWO MORE EVENTS AT FLORIDA GULF COAST

RESULTS

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Sophomore Jessica Frazelle picked up two more victories with classmate Skye Hickling coming home with a triumph as Radford Swimming & Diving dropped a CCSA dual meet at Florida Gulf Coast, 145-116, on Monday afternoon.

Junior
Emily Turner and sophomore Meaghan Rowley turned in second and third-place showings, respectively.

For Frazelle, it was her second and third victories in the last two meets. In doing so, the sophomore posted a career-best in the 50 back (28.11) and season-low 59.93 in the 100 back, the event she won on Saturday.

Hickling posted her second victory on the 3-meter board this season and third win overall with a score of 246.96 points.

Turner clocked in at 25.47 (50 free), just .13 second shy of first, while she recorded her second-best 2011-12 time in the 100 free (54.75). Rowley (pictured) touched the wall at 30.77 in the 50 backstroke.

On the 1-meter board, senior
Katie Shaffer and sophomore Alex Poletti posted season-bests with 216.30 and 187.50 points, respectively.

The Highlanders will stay down in Florida for some additional training before heading back to Radford. When it returns, Radford will continue on the road with a CCSA meet at North Carolina A&T on Jan. 20.
