SWIMMING & DIVING DEFEATS BRENAU, FALLS AT CAMPBELL


BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Radford Swimming & Diving split in a tri-meet at Campbell University on Saturday afternoon from Johnson Natatorium. The Highlanders (3-1) defeated Brenau, 151-104, but fell to the host Camels, 206-55.

Results

Radford posted seven top-three finishes, including runner-up times from sophmore Claire Doherty (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) and freshman Sarah Fredericksen (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest) in the 100 fly (1:01.81) and 500 free (5:24.21), respectively.

Fredericksen also posted thirds in the 1000 free (11:01.35) and the 200 fly (2:10.64). Freshman Mary Flinn (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) and junior Jessica Frazelle (Lexington, N.C./West Davidson) added two more third place finishes as they touched in 2:15.26 (200 back) and 1:02.72 (100 back).

The Highlanders 400 free relay squad consisted of Flinn, Doherty, junior Meaghan Rowley (Smithfield, Va./Smithfield) and Fredericksen rounded out the top-three, touching the wall at 3:52.88.

Radford returns to the pool on Nov. 3 at Marshall. The meet is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
