FREDERICKSEN WINS 200 FLY; HIGHLANDERS DEFEATED BY JMU AND MOUNT ST. MARY'S

HARRISONBURG, Va. – Freshman Sarah Fredericksen won the 200 butterfly, but Radford, in a tri-meet with James Madison and Mount St. Mary's, was defeated by the host Dukes, 180-105 and edged by the Mountaineers, 153-140 on Saturday afternoon.

Fredericksen turned in a time of 2:09.22, edging the Mount's Erin Regan by .52 seconds for her second victory in the event and sixth overall this season. Earlier in the meet, the rookie posted a third-place showing in the 1000 free (11:07.78).

Skye Hickling registered fourth place finished in both the one-meter (228.3) and three meter (246.45) boards as did junior Jessica Frazelle in the 100 backstroke (1:01.12).

The Highlanders concluded the first half of their season today and return to action after the New Year taking on CCSA foe North Florida on Jan. 5 at 12:00 p.m.
