SWIMMING & DIVING HOSTS CAMPBELL IN CCSA OPENER ON SATURDAY

Radford swimming and diving kicks welcomes Campbell to the Dedmon Center Natatorium for a Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) dual on Saturday, Oct. 19. Following an exhibition diving session at 11:00 a.m., the two squads will compete in 14 events, kicking off with the 400 medley relay at 2:00 p.m.

A LOOK AT RU: Over the first two weeks of the season, Radford has shown signs of improvement as several Highlanders have already posted personal bests with top-10 program times being recorded as well… In the home and season opener against James Madison, sophomore Sarah Fredericksen won the 100 butterfly and junior Claire Doherty placed third in the same event… The rookie trio of Madeline Schouten, Elena Acevedo and Stephanie Lauer all touched the wall with top-10 program times in the 100 breaststroke, 200 freestyle and 1000 freestyle, respectively… At the Virginia Tech Swim/Dive Challenge last week, senior Skye Hickling charted a sixth-place showing on the three-meter board… Freshman Laura Bradley lowered her time in both the 50 and 100 free and was joined by eight other Highlanders, who set new personal bests in their respective events.

UP NEXT: Radford heads back out on the road next Saturday, Oct. 26 for a CCSA dual at VMI beginning at 1:00 p.m.
