SWIMMING & DIVING HOSTS ODU & MARSHALL THIS WEEKEND



Radford swimming and diving returns to Dedmon Center Natatorium on Nov. 15-16 for a two-day tri-meet against Old Dominion and Marshall. The Highlanders, Monarchs and Thundering Herd open competition on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and continue on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. Each day features 10 events.

Radford's six seniors, Jessica Frazelle, Skye Hickling, Alex Poletti, Meaghan Rowley, Haley Schweitzer and Sydney Sweet will be recognized on Saturday prior to the start of second-day action.

A LOOK AT RU: The Highlanders were edged by UNC Asheville, 135-125, in a road CCSA meet last Friday… Sophomore Sarah Fredericksen continued her winning ways last Friday at UNC Asheville, winning the 100 and 200 yard butterfly, bringing her season total to seven… She also placed third in the 1000 freestyle… Classmate Mary Flinn won the 200 backstroke… Radford finished at least second in all but one event… Freshman Elena Acevedo and junior Claire Doherty added multiple second-place finishes.
 
THE MONARCHS & THUNDERING HERD: ODU is 2-3 on the year having defeated UMBC and St. Andrews in its last two meets… Marshall is 1-2, earning its victory over UNC Asheville… The Herd also finished second at the West Virginia State Games.

UP NEXT: Radford hosts its annual three-day Highlander Invitational next weekend (Nov. 21-23), which will be a swimming only event… The Highlander divers will compete in Christiansburg in the H2OKIE which will take place over the same three days.
