RESULTS

BLACKSBURG, Va.
En route to a runner-up performance in the women's 60-meter dash, Lakei Crews etched two additional Top-10 times for the event in the record books Friday night to lead Radford track and field in the VT Challenge held at Rector Field House.

Qualifying for the finals with a personal-best 7.68, Crews finished just over a second behind Hailey Blackburn of UNC Wilmington with a time of 7.71 to post her second runner-up showing of the season. Kayla Christian (7.88) and Kaleice Green (7.95) also competed in the event and set new standards in the preliminary round to finish sixth and 10th, respectively. On the men's side, Chris Henry was clocked at 7.20 for a PR in the 60 meters to place 12th.

Continuing her dominance in the mile run, Teresa Williamson lowered her career-best time to 5:08.74 to finish eighth. Her new standard sits fourth on the Top-10 chart for the event. Ryan Farnan also ran his fastest mile on Friday, crossing the line in 4:21.71 to finish 18th in the men's race.

In addition to Lora Wilson placing 25th in the women's 200 meters with a personal-best 26.52, Kaise White finished ninth on the men's side at 22.51. Green registered her second Top-3 performance of the season in the long jump with a 5.45-meter leap.

Consistency was on display in the women's 60-meter hurdles as Courtni Pannell ran the event in 8.75 (fifth-best mark in program history) for the prelims and the finals to finish fifth in both. Freshmen Victor Brew (8.54) and Devon Drake (9.10) set personal records on the men's side to conclude in ninth and 12th, respectively.

Highlighting the throwers' efforts was Jordan Wilson, who placed fifth in the women's weight throw with a career-best 15.35-meter effort. One spot behind was Ashlen Veatch, tossing a 15.34-meter mark. Recording his third straight Top-5 weight throw was Curtis Hodge, with a season-best 17.92-meter heave.
