GAINESVILLE, Fla. / LYNCHBURG, Va. – Sophomores Teresa Williamson and Ryan Farnan highlighted Friday's action after both broke RU school records. The Radford University track and field team split up this weekend with some of the athletes traveling to the Pepsi Relays hosted by the University of Florida and the rest traveling to the Liberty Collegiate Invitational hosted by Liberty University.

At the Pepsi Relays, Williamson broke the school record while shattering her personal record with a time of 4:39.11 in the 1500m run. Farnan pulled off the same feat in the 5000m run after breaking the program record and his personal record with a time of 14:48.06.

Junior Brian Gorwitz brought home a third place finish in the 1500m run with a time personal-record and a RU top-10 time of 3:50.09.

Sophomore Vincent Wyatt recorded the third-fastest time in program history at 13.96 seconds in the 110m hurdles while finishing 13th out of 70 competitors.

Senior Curtis Hodge tallied a seventh place finish in the hammer throw after a distance of 55.23m.

Freshman Ashlen Veatch and sophomore Emmalene Hale competed at the Liberty Collegiate Invitational in Lynchburg, Va. Veatch took home third place in the hammer throw after a personal-record toss of 51.39m. Hale added a personal-record distance of 43.89m while tallying an eighth-place finish in the hammer throw.

The Highlanders return to action tomorrow, April 6th at the Pepsi Relays in Gainesville, Fla. and the Liberty Collegiate Invitational in Lynchburg, Va.
