GAINESVILLE, Fla. / LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Radford track and field team split up for the second-straight day as the squad competed at the Liberty Collegiate Invitational hosted by Liberty University and the Pepsi Relays hosted by the University of Florida. Highlighting Saturday were 20 top-10 finishes between the two invitationals and five personal records.

At the Liberty Collegiate Invitational, sophomore Chris Henry took second in the long jump after a personal-record leap of 7.12m. Also competing in the long jump was freshman Cory Dunn, who took seventh with a distance of 6.68m while junior Phillip Hovatter added a tenth place with a jump of 6.56m. Dunn then added a fifth place in the triple jump with a distance of 13.28m. For the women, junior Kaleice Green took home fifth place in the long jump with a leap of 5.12m.

Junior David Green brought home a fourth place in the 400m hurdles after a time of 56.00 seconds while freshman Shepley Burke finished fifth with a personal-record time of 56.63 seconds. Sophomore Logan Shumaker added a ninth place in the event with a time of 57.90 seconds. On the ladies side, junior Michelle Speede took sixth in the 400m dash with a time of 59.29 seconds.

The team of juniors Amber Church, Lakei Crews, freshman Madeline Harrover and senior Kayla Christian took second in the 4x100m relay with a time of 48.52 seconds. In the men's event of the 4x100m relay the combination of Henry, sophomore Josiah Brunson, freshman Cory Dunn and junior Phillip Hovatter added a fifth place with a time of 43.97 seconds.

Crews put up a fourth place in the 100m dash with a time of 12.52 seconds while Brew added a seventh place finish in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.83 seconds.

Sophomore Jamiecka Baker took third place in the triple jump after a distance of 11.38m. Baker also tallied a fifth place finish in the high jump after a personal-record height of 1.56m.

Sophomore Jake Zimmerman recorded a personal record in the 800m run while placing sixth with a time of 1:56.93. Junior Chris Weeks also added a personal record while placing tenth with a time of 2:00.02.

Sophomore Emmalene Hale took home eighth place in the discus throw with a distance of 37.26m.

Junior Thomas Keefe added a ninth place in the 1500m run with a time of 4:07.23.

At the Pepsi Relays, the combination of sophomore Joseph Betts, sophomore Vincent Wyatt, senior Kaise White and junior Brian Gorwitz had a top-10 finish in the 1600m sprint medley relay with a time of 3:27.48. Senior Justin Smith added a sixth place in the shot put after a toss of 15.36m while junior Garrett Knudson took ninth with a distance of 15.14m.
