RADFORD, Va. ---- Fresh off snapping its six-game skid, Radford returns to action for a midweek doubleheader at UNC Greensboro on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the UNCG Softball Stadium.

Whitney Davis' ninth home run of the year came in the second inning of game two at Gardner-Webb, clearing the bases for the Red and White's third grand slam of the year. The Highlanders previous grand slams came on Feb. 14 against George Mason by Maggie Rowe and Summer Robinson on March 8 at ETSU.

Davis finished Sunday's doubleheader against the Runnin' Bulldogs with a team-best three hits, along with Megan Honaker. Honaker paced the team in both hits and runs with six and four, respectively, over the three-game series.

Alex Lang, in as a pinch hitter, notched the first homer of her career to put Radford ahead by one in the seventh inning of this weekend's series finale. The Red and White had three home runs in total in the second part of the doubleheader. Becky Mantel had the game's first, clearing the fence in the game's first at bat for her sixth of the year.

Davis, Rowe and Nia Chiles all had a multi-hit game in Shelby, N.C. to open the series against Gardner-Webb. Davis paces the Highlanders with 15 multi-hit games this season.

Mackenzie Blackwell's single in the third gave her two RBI in the opener at GWU. Robinson and Chiles both put the ball over the fence to account for two of the Red and White's six runs. Chiles led the Highlanders with two RBI and her second long ball of the season.

Radford's  9-8 victory in the series finale at Gardner-Webb snapped Radford's six-game skid.
