- Radford hosts non-conference foe Marshall, Tuesday at 6 p.m., before diving into Big South play later in the week.
- RU and the Thundering Herd battled to a 2-2 draw in an exhibition last season.
- The two sides' last regular-season meeting was in 2012 when the Highlanders dropped a 1-0 overtime decision to Marshall. Current Thundering Herd senior, Jack Hopkins, scored the golden goal in that match.

- Six of Radford's 11 goals scored this season are by underclassmen.
- Two of those underclassmen, Sivert Daehlie and Finn Tiedemann, lead the Highlanders with four points apiece.

- RU will be the third Big South foe the Thundering Herd has played this season. Marshall defeated High Point, 1-0, in a home exhibition, before edging Liberty, 2-1, in double overtime on the road.
- The Thundering Herd had won four matches in a row prior to dropping back-to-back 1-0 decisions to Evansville and Kentucky.
- Rimario Gordon and Chris Taibi have scored twice for Marshall.
