THREE UNDERCLASSMEN HAVE RECORD PERFORMANCES AT NCAA REGIONALS

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Three Highlanders in Joe Limo, Pete Decker and Kayland Bond competed at the NCAA Southeast Regionals on Friday at Rock Hill Farm in Rock Hill, S.C., and all posted collegiate best times.
 
The two freshmen led the way for Radford. Joe Limo ran the 10K in 33:16.9 – a collegiate best – and posted a 151 finish. With four kilometers of the race completed, Limo was in 163rd. He moved up two spots through seven kilometers and turned the jets for the final three. The freshman passed 12 racers through the home stretch.
 
Pete Decker also competed for the men. He paced himself with a collegiate best 34.25.7 10K time and moved up 13 spots in the final three kilometers of the course.
 
On the women's side, Kayland Bond posted a collegiate best 23:46.6 time in the 6K. The freshman was the only Highlander to compete in the 6K. She was 216th through 2.8 kilometers and moved up four spots to finish 212th.
